New Yearīs Eve fireworks above Vienna
Also for 2008 Vienna will welcome the new year with a big party in itīs hisorical city center. A very nice place to enjoy the fireworks above all these ancient buildings is the big ramp of the parliament.
New Yearīs Eve 2008 in Vienna:
Vienna celebrates the change of the year in itīs historical center with hot rhythms and live gigs of all styles from classical to rockīn roll. All over the historical city center you will find show stages and tents. You just have to follow the so called "Silvester-Path". Thousands of people meet at midnight at St. Stephens square. then the Viennese use to dance with a waltz into the new year.
The dancing tower!
If you want to watch a really cool light show, then move yourself to the Donaukanal (near our number 28 on the Your Friend city map). A tower starts to dance there in the light of the night.
The New Yearīs Waltz:
In Austria people welcome the new year traditionally by dancing a waltz. You are not so fit in dancing waltz? Donīt worry, the viennese dancing schools will show you all secrets.
